The Pu Erh Tuo Cha, produced in 1994, is a rare, compressed tea from the Yunnan province of China that has naturally aged. Its deep, complex flavor, with pronounced earthy, woody, and slightly sweet notes, defines the essence of a well-matured Shou Pu Erh. The Shou method, also known as “cooked” or “ripe” Pu Erh, was developed in the 1970s to accelerate the natural aging process of Sheng Pu Erh. The tea undergoes controlled fermentation by stacking the leaves under high humidity and temperature conditions, a process similar to composting.

Over time, this process imparts a deep, earthy profile to the tea with soft notes of wood, wet earth, chocolate, and overripe fruits. The liquor color is a dark red.

Pu Erh teas are not only an exceptional tasting experience but also offer multiple health benefits. They aid in digestion and detoxification, support metabolism and fat burning, and are low in caffeine.

A classic tea for collectors and Pu Erh enthusiasts.
