Rooibos

Rooibos is a natural infusion derived from the Aspalathus linearis plant, cultivated in South Africa. It is a particularly popular beverage because it contains no caffeine while being rich in antioxidants. This makes it ideal for daily consumption, and it is suitable for pregnant women and young children.

Apart from drinking it hot, you can also enjoy it cold, with fruit slices and juices, added to sparkling water, or blended into smoothies. In cooking, you can use it in soups or sauces for a unique twist! In baking, rooibos can replace milk or water in cake recipes.

Rooibos offers many health benefits. Besides its high antioxidant content and relaxing properties, it aids digestion, fights inflammation, helps regulate blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Additionally, it has low tannin content, unlike green or black tea, meaning it does not inhibit iron absorption in the body.
