Plum Blossom chinese green tea ( Champion)

Plum blossom means plum flower - a very favorite flower of the Chinese. The tea leaf buds are harvested in early spring. Each bud forms a petal from the plum flower. It belongs to the rare and hard to find Chinese teas. Its annual production is very small and the quantities exported are even smaller.

We suggest you make it in a clear tall glass and watch the "flowers" as they float before they finally "sit" to the bottom. In the water they swell and resemble a real flower. It has a very light, pale extract.  Its taste is complex, it brings flowers, nuts, with an intense aftertaste that lasts.
