This tea comes from a tea tree that has strong tips that come out in early spring, thick shoots and fleshy soft leaves.
Sweet taste with earthy tones, reddish extract. Its taste may surprise you if you try it for the first time.
Yunnan province is often referred to as the birthplace of the tea tree itself. It is said to be home to 260 of its 320 varieties including some centuries-old tea trees. For example, in the forested areas near the Burmese border is a giant tea tree that is said to have been growing there since the fourth century. This tree is 32 meters high and its trunk has a diameter greater than one meter. According to archaeological evidence of the Dai tribe, the tea of the same name has been produced in Yunnan province for 1700 years.
