Bombilla – Stainless Steel Straw for Yerba Mate

The yerba mate straw, known as a bombilla, is an essential tool for consuming South America's favorite infusion. The bombilla acts as a filter, allowing you to drink mate without letting leaves or small particles pass through the beverage.

It is made of stainless steel and has a special filter at the bottom that prevents the leaves from entering the mouth. If you don’t have a mate gourd, you can use a large cup (500ml). Fill it with hot water and a generous amount of yerba mate, at least 10g. Drink directly from the bombilla when it’s ready. Once you have almost finished and the leaves remain covered with water, you can add more hot water and repeat the process.

The bombilla is an integral part of yerba mate culture, which is not just a drink but a social tradition in Latin America.
